Antoaneta Vassileva is Professor of Global Economics and International Economic Relations at the International Economic Relations and Business Department at the University of National and World Economy (UNWE). She was Dean of the International Economics and Politics Faculty from 2011 until 2014. She teaches International Business, International Business Operations, Regional Practices in International Business, and International Marketing under the Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees Programs of the International Economic Relations in Bulgarian and English. She has delivered lectures at universities in Poland and Japan. Professor Vassileva delivers a course of lectures in International Business and Management under the Joint Master’s Degree Program at the UNWE and the Nottingham Trent University in the United Kingdom as well as under the Global Management and Leadership Bulgarian-Japanese Program at the Institute for Postgraduate Studies (IPS) at the UNWE. She has numerous publications in Bulgaria and abroad. She participates in a number of university, national, and international projects.
During the period 2002-2006 Antoaneta Vassileva was Director of the International Economics, Politics, and Law Center of the IPS at the UNWE. She was member of the editorial board of the International Relations Journal in Bulgaria, the Vision Journal in Macedonia, and China-USA Business Review Journal in the USA. She is a member of the Union of Economists in Bulgaria and a founder of the Commerce and International Business Experts Club. She is a member of the European International Business Academy (EIBA).
Antoaneta Vassileva graduated from the Karl Marx Higher Institute of Economics (at present UNWE) in Sofia (1984). She specialized in International Management and Marketing at Instituto de Estudios Superiores de la Empresa (IESE), Barcelona (1997), City University Business School (at present Cass Business School) in London (1997 and 1998), Asia-Pacific University in Beppu, Japan (2005), International Academy – “F+U” in Berlin (2005) and the Associazione Retericerca in Turin (2006). She is fluent in English and Russian and also speaks German and Spanish. Antoaneta Vassileva has a Ph.D. in Economics (Bulgaria, 2000) and a Ph.D. in Business Administration (U.S.A., 2002). She won the competitions for Assistant Professor (1995), Senior Assistant Professor (1998), Chief Assistant Professor (2000), Associate Professor (2004), and Professor (2011) at the University of National and World Economy, International Economic Relations and Business Department.
Antoaneta Vassileva is married to Tzvetan Vassilev, majority shareholder and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Corporate Commercial Bank AD (2003-2014). They have one daughter — Radosveta Vassileva.
